FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Elise’s lifelong love of learning found a home in Charlotte Mason’s philosophy — one she believes treats both children and mothers as full persons, worthy of a rich and living education. After nine years of teaching and serving in administration near Chicago, she deepened her formation through Ambleside Schools International’s Master Teacher Trainer program.
She now leads Charlotte Mason Powhatan and consults with homeschooling families through raisingpersons.com. Her hope for every child at CMP is that they leave with a genuine love of ideas and the habits of mind to pursue them.
She lives in Powhatan, Virginia with her husband, four children, and an ever-growing number of animals.
