Charlotte Mason Powhatan is a Charlotte Mason homeschool program
meeting Tuesday mornings in Powhatan, Virginia.
Training
Mothers’ Trainings — Multiple times per year, CMP mothers gather to study both the philosophy and pedagogy of the Charlotte Mason method together. These sessions are included for enrolled CMP families and walk through subjects one at a time to support daily home teaching.
Soon enrolling for the 2026-2027 year!
Children are persons and learning in community is a unique opportunity for them to experience the joy of learning in community. Our school families look forward to Tuesday mornings and the children delight in being together and growing in habit and their knowledge of God’s world together.

Community
We meet for book group once a month to read a volume of Charlotte Mason. This reading and discussion is a beautiful way for mothers to share the practical outworking of the model and “meet” Charlotte Mason.
Play group is twice monthly and we enjoy watching the children enjoy nature as mothers fellowship.
