“Higher still and higher.”

Our logo is inspired by the skylark, an image Charlotte Mason often returned to in her writings, and by Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem “To a Skylark.” In the poem, the skylark sings not because it is commanded, but because it is alive. Its song rises freely, an expression of joy and life within. Charlotte Mason used this image to describe education as something living—never mechanical or forced, but responsive, joyful, and rooted in real ideas.

The bird in our logo represents the child as a living person, while the branch and leaves suggest growth that is organic and rooted rather than imposed. The flowing lines beneath echo movement and air—the unseen currents through which ideas pass from mind to mind. Enclosed within a circle, the image reflects order and care that hold life without confining it.

Together, the logo expresses our hope that education here would be alive—marked by attention, wonder, discipline, and joy—so that, like the skylark, children may rise and give voice to what has been formed within them.
